Weight Loss

  • For Patient’s wishing to loose weight, different medications are available: 
  • Zepbound (tirzepatide) injectable weekly for chronic weight management; it is also FDA-approved for moderate to severe OSA in adults with obesity.
  • Wegovy (semaglutide) for chronic weight management; it is also approved to reduce major adverse cardiovascular events in certain adults with established cardiovascular disease and obesity/overweight. A new higher-dose Wegovy approval was announced in March 2026.
  • Foundayo (orforglipron), a newly approved oral option for adults with obesity or overweight plus a weight-related comorbidity, approved April 1, 2026.
  • Saxenda (liraglutide) daily injection for chronic weight management.
  • Qsymia (phentermine/topiramate ER) oral chronic weight-loss medication.
  • Contrave (naltrexone/bupropion ER) oral chronic weight-loss medication.
  • Xenical (orlistat) prescription oral option for weight loss and maintenance.
